Co-founders Damond X and I found the band EDO courtesy of a
bootleg of their demo tape back in college (sometime around 1990 or 1991) and
absolutely fell in love with their music. That oft-copied tape was a
faithful companion over the years, and, in fact, I even put a copy of it into my
fireproof box--that way, if my house burned down, I could still listen to the
songs as I sifted through the ashes of my life.
A few years ago, I was up late searching the internet and found their website. And when I emailed the band, I received a gracious reply from Eliot Duhan. Not only did Eliot hook me up with a CD of that infamous tape (which wasn't available for purchase at the time), Eliot also became a member of the HLF and he gave permission to offer the album, Waltzing with the Dogs, for download on the HLF website. Want to take a listen? Here it is: EDO - Waltzing with the Dogs.rar (66.4mb) (Note: To save on bandwidth, I have compressed it to WINRAR format; if you need to download the program to decompress it, please visit http://www.rarlab.com)
Want to contact EDO? Want to find out how to get their CDs? Write to them here: edo.lives@gmail.com Other links: Their official website, complete with their upcoming
appearances and more stuff to download: Their old website, which includes a discography and a couple
of older graphics for download: See some streaming videos: Thanks for checking them out and please support them. --gair |
